Location: Nimkee Nupigawagan Healing Centre – Muncey, Ontario
Salary: $50,000–$60,000 annually
Reports To: Executive Director
Nimkee Nupigawagan Healing Centre is seeking an Indigenous Research, Evaluation & Continuous Quality Improvement Specialist to help us better understand, evaluate, and share the impact of Indigenous-led healing.
This is much more than a traditional research position. It is an opportunity to work alongside youth, families, Elders, Traditional Helpers, Knowledge Keepers, communities, and staff to help tell the story of healing through relationships, culture, ceremony, education, land-based learning, and community.
Working from Indigenous worldviews and a Two-Eyed Seeing approach, you will help gather, interpret, and weave together many forms of evidence—including quantitative data, interviews, participant feedback, observations, stories, photographs, creative works, and lived experience—to better understand how healing occurs and how our programs continue to evolve.
Your work will directly influence organizational learning, program development, continuous quality improvement, strategic planning, funding, and the future of Indigenous-led healing.
Nimkee Nupigawagan Healing Centre provides culturally grounded, trauma-informed residential treatment and healing services for Indigenous youth. We believe healing occurs through culture, ceremony, safe relationships, education, community, and connection to the land.
We are committed to Indigenous self-determination, relational accountability, cultural safety, and continuous learning. Every member of our team contributes to creating an environment where young people can reconnect with culture, strengthen identity, build resilience, and move toward long-term wellness.
We're looking for someone who is curious, collaborative, compassionate, and passionate about Indigenous wellness. You understand that meaningful evaluation is built on relationships, respect, and community engagement, not simply collecting data.
This is an opportunity to help shape the future of Indigenous-led healing.
Your work will influence organizational planning, improve services for Indigenous youth and families, strengthen funding opportunities, contribute to Indigenous research and evaluation, and help preserve the stories and wisdom emerging from our programs.
Rather than simply measuring outcomes, you will help answer important questions about healing, resilience, culture, identity, relationships, and hope.
Nimkee Nupigawagan Healing Centre is committed to creating a culturally safe, inclusive, respectful, and accessible workplace. Accommodation is available throughout the recruitment and employment process in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code.
Preference may be given to qualified Indigenous applicants in accordance with applicable legislation and organizational hiring practices.
We recognize that no candidate will possess every qualification listed in the attached job description. If you are passionate about this work and believe your education, lived experience, and professional experience would make you a strong fit, we encourage you to apply. We value diverse pathways of learning and welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines.
