Hiring salary: $150,000- $200,000 per year, prorated to contract, plus benefits

Location: Toronto (preferred) with occasional travel*

Requirements:
5-10 years of experience in a senior management or executive leadership role, ideally in an Indigenous-led or Indigenous-serving organization Bachelor’s degree in public policy, nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field
The President reports to Gakino’amaage: Teach For Canada’s Board of Directors and operates as the principal executive of the organization with full responsibility for financial decisions and execution of strategy as directed by the Board. They are tasked with driving the top and bottom-line growth for the organization. Reporting to the Board will consist of a progress review after the first three months and an annual evaluation.
The President will play a critical role as a Gakino’amaage: Teach For Canada ambassador to Chiefs and Councils and Education Directors from community partners, Indigenous organizations such as Provincial and Territorial Organizations and tribal councils, the federal government, provincial governments, and donors.
