Physiotherapy Assistants, like you, to join our Physiotherapy team and gain valuable health care

The Physiotherapy Department provides high quality, patient focused care to both in-patients and 
Emergency Department patients of West Haldimand General Hospital and the surrounding community. 
Our service focuses on patient/client safety, sensitivity to our diverse communities and is provided in 
cooperation with both internal and external partners. The Physiotherapy Department supports the 
Emergency Department and the Hospital’s Inpatient Unit, which consists of a 23 bed acute medical 
unit. 
 
Located in Hagersville, WHGH is just a short 30-minute drive away from Simcoe, Brantford and

DUTIES 
1. Administers physiotherapy treatment as instructed by the Physiotherapist. 
2. Provides physiotherapy treatment to patients and clients.  
3. Responsible for clinical and clerical duties in the department. 
4. Maintains patient/client confidentiality and protects hospital operations. 
5. Other duties as assigned. 
6. Physiotherapy Staff at West Haldimand General provide physiotherapy services in accordance 
with our Mission, Vision and Values of innovation, compassion, accountability, respect and 
excellence. 


POSITION REQUIREMENTS 
1. Meets the standard qualifications set out by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. 
2. CPR certified. 
3. Proven flexibility with a high level of initiative, self-direction and time management skills. 
4. Well-developed leadership, interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution and 
organizational skills. 
5. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing demands combined with the 
ability to work both collaboratively and independently 
6. Knowledge and experience in the application of rehabilitation related data sets and outcome 
measures.   
7. Two years of related work experience and/or an appropriate combination of work experience 
and education 
8. Competent in the use of computer software, particularly word-processing and comfortable 
working in a virtual environment.

9. Past performance and attendance will be considered as part of the selection process.
