Position: Youth Success Mentors

Under the direction of the Direct Services Manager, as a Youth Success Mentor, you will primarily provide 1:1 support, and group support to a urban Indigenous youth self-identifying with a disability with the ability to access and actively participate in NPAAMB employment and training programs and supports.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Youth Success Mentors will work closely with program and service staff to ensure that NPAAMB programs and services are able to adapt, support, and empower Indigenous youth self-identifying with a disability to successfully complete programs, services, and interventions by ensuring the appropriate supports are integrated into their experience and supports their overall wholistic needs.

Youth Success Mentors will provide group programming in the evenings to support youth with wholistic development strategies to support soft skills, interpersonal, and professional skills that will assist urban Indigenous youth to successfully transition into employment and training opportunities.

Youth Success Mentors will assist Indigenous youth with employment supports – including but not limited to resume writing, cover letter writing, job search skills, education attainment support, employment applications, and continued soft skill development.
