Job Title: Manufacturing Technician

Reports to: Product Manufacturing Manager or Designate Department: Manufacturing Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time / Shift-based, Monday to Friday

---Job Summary

The Manufacturing Technician plays a key role in the production and packaging of confectionery and other products within our facility. Reporting to the Product Manufacturing Manager (or designate), this role is responsible for the setup, operation, and sanitation of equipment used in the bulk production, processing, and packaging of various products. The successful candidate will work across multiple areas of the facility, including packaging, confectionery processing, and other related product lines, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to food safety standards.

---Key Responsibilities

Production & Packaging Operations

· Operate equipment for the manufacturing and packaging of confectionery and other edible products.

· Accurately measure, handle, and mix ingredients according to established recipes or batch sheets.

· Label products accurately and in compliance with regulatory and company standards.

· Perform case packing of finished goods and prepare them for shipment or storage.

· Package products into appropriate formats (e.g., pouches, cases) following company specifications.

· Assist with product changeovers and production line setup as required.

Sanitation & Compliance

· Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and work areas in accordance with food safety and hygiene protocols.

· Maintain proper storage of ingredients and materials to ensure quality and safety.

· Complete and maintain compliance records, batch documentation, and quality assurance checklists accurately and in a timely manner.

· Follow all safety procedures, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), and company policies.

Additional Duties

· Support other product lines and departments within the facility as needed.

· Participate in cross-training and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Qualifications & Requirements

· High School Diploma or equivalent required.

· Experience in food manufacturing or packaging is an asset but not required.

· Experience in restaurants is an asset but not required.

· Basic computer literacy is considered an asset but not required.

· Ability to take direction, follow SOPs, and adhere to company procedures and policies.

· Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

· Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.

· Willingness to learn and contribute to company growth and success.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

· Able to safely lift up to 25 lbs, push/pull carts, and perform repetitive tasks.

· Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods in a fast-paced production environment.

· May be exposed to varying temperatures, food ingredients, and production noise.

· Availability for shift work or overtime may be required depending on production demands.

Compensation

$22-25 per hour based off experience
