We are currently looking for someone like you to join our team as an Indigenous Project
EmergConnect Co-Lead. We are implementing the first ever centralized digital platform for patient
registration, self-assessment, individualized wait time predictions and ideal care environment
redirection. We’re leading the way using cutting edge artificial intelligence to help achieve the
quadruple aim in healthcare.
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, or their designate, the ideal candidate will have direct
experience working with Indigenous Peoples in a hospital or community-based organization, health
promotion, public health or social work setting.

DUTIES
1. Lead the planning, development, and evaluation of EmergConnect, ensuring that the
centralized digital platform is being rolled our effectively.
2. Work collaboratively with stakeholders, service providers, and community partners to
facilitate smooth completion of the project.
3. Synthesize, analyze and relay complex information to senior leadership including briefings,
operational plans, issues/information requests, strategies and program recommendations.
4. Take initiative/accountability for achievement of approved deliverable and operational
commitments.
5. Support the Clinical Director to ensure efficient and effective operations by compliance with
all federal, local, hospital and accreditation standards and internal policies and procedures.
6. Provide leadership while coordinating the project. Support internal and external stakeholder
communication and collaboration, working closely with Indigenous partners.
7. Act at the first point of contact for all correspondence related to the centralized digital
platform.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Technical Knowledge:
1. Current Certification of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered
Nurse.
2. You have proven knowledge of the Indigenous health sector, including Indigenous health
issues and knowledge of Indigenous communities and organizations in Ontario.
3. You have the ability to understand, interpret and apply knowledge and decision-making
processes.
4. You have knowledge of performance management approaches to provide leadership and
expertise in development, evaluation and communication.
5. You have strong strategic and operational leadership skills for planning, development and
delivery of a centralized digital platform.
Program and Policy Knowledge and Skills:
6. You have demonstrated an understanding of the health care system planning and delivery
principles.
7. You have knowledge of program design, implementation and delivery.
8. You have an understanding of services related to Indigenous health.
9. You have strong strategic orientation and demonstrated knowledge of and experience with
project management and development processes to lead the development and evaluation of
strategies, and resource allocation frameworks.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
10. You have demonstrated writing and analysis skills to prepare reports, papers and briefing
notes for senior management.
11. You have presentation skills to synthesize, analyze and relay complex information to senior
leadership including briefings, operational plans, issues/information requests, strategies and
program recommendations.
12. You have demonstrated facilitation skills working with Indigenous partners.
13. You have negotiation and mediation skills to resolve issues and achieve consensus.
14. You have interpersonal and people skills to deliver effective presentations, productive
discussions and collaborative relationship-building to help achieve shared objectives.
15. You have demonstrated ability to take initiative/accountability for achievement of approved
deliverables and operational commitments.
16. You have creativity and conceptual-thinking skills to explain situations and recommend
