Position: Youth Services Assistant

Hours: 35 hours/bi-weekly (Part-time)

Idea Exchange is seeking to hire a talented Youth Services Assistant for our Old Post Office location.  Does this sound like you?


To be qualified for the role, you should have previous experience working with youth, programming and/or performance and be familiar with current trends and technologies for children and teens. You should also be someone who is welcoming and enjoys working with people of all ages.


This is a part-time position where you will work approximately 35 hours in a bi-weekly period. The position may require work from multiple branch locations within Cambridge. The schedule will include days, evenings, and weekends, including some Sundays from September to May each year

As a Youth Services Assistant, you will be part of a team, developing the learning experience for our members. You will be putting your creative skills to the test by planning, organizing and leading various youth programs with a STEAM focus using hands-on technology for kids and you will assist them with questions and finding material. You will also be responsible for circulation and other administrative duties.
