Original Traders Energy supplies and distributes high quality gasoline and diesel fuel products exclusively to First Nations across Canada. Our mission is to achieve high relationship standards with our First Nations clientele, enrich our communities, and maintain high standards for our storage practices, fuel quality and competitive customer-based pricing.
As part of our service to our communities, we have the need for an Accounting Assistant to join our head office in Six Nations of the Grand River Territory located in Scotland, Ontario.

Job Summary:
The Accounting Assistant is a key member of our OTE head office. The role reports to the Director of OTE Administration and will provide support to the accounting department and carry-out the following duties:
• Perform accounts payable, reconciliation, processing transactions
• Perform accounts receivable, processing invoices, applying receipts
• Perform basic office tasks, filing, data entry, and processing mail
• Handle communications with customers via telephone, e-mail and in person
• Assist with other duties as assigned
Written and verbal competencies is also a high priority for this role to ensure successful interactions with managers, employees and vendors.
Qualifications and Required Skills:
• Accounting Diploma with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in full cycle bookkeeping or 5 years of related work experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and financial software
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment
• Mathematical and analytical skills
• Willingness to learn custom software
