Employment Retention Support

Objective

The Employment Retention Support (ERS) is designed to provide supports to enable a client with a job to continue working in that job. Assistance should be extraordinary in nature and not lead to continuing dependence on the ISETS program. An ERS may be used to cover costs, including but not limited to:

  • Purchase of work clothes
  • Equipment
  • Bus Tickets
  • Drivers License Fees
  • Birth Certificates
  • Career driven technological demands
  • Criminal Records Official Pardon
  • Police Checks
  • Childcare
  • Lost ID
  • Transportation Costs

Program Details

To qualify for an ERS, participants must be:

  • An underemployed, or self-employed individual
  • Status band member of Six Nations of the Grand River who demonstrates financial need for assistance to maintain employment
  • Individuals who have completed Personal Statement of Financial Position (form created by Grand River Employment and Training)
  • Registered with Grand River Employment and Training
