The Purchase of Training Program is designed to help participants overcome existing or anticipated labour market barriers, by obtaining employment that meets labour market of businesses and other organizations’ needs. The Program offers a variety of training courses, from public and private training institutions.
Targeted Wage Subsidy (TWS)
The Targeted Wage Subsidy Program is designed to assist eligible participants, who have employment barriers, to become employed, by providing wage subsidies to employers.
Disability Opportunity Initiative and New Request for Proposal Details
The Disability Opportunity Initiative is designed to help persons with disabilities prepare for, obtain and keep employment or become self-employed, thus, increasing their economic independence. Any of GREAT’s employment and training programs can be utilized to remove barriers to employment, for persons with disabilities.
Local Labour Market Partnership (LLMP)
The Local Labour Market Partnership (LLMP) Program is designed to help Six Nations of the Grand River’s employers and service organizations and local employee and/or employer associations, improve their capacity for developing and implementing strategies to deal with labour force adjustments and to meet human resource requirements.
Summer Work Experience (ISETS)
The Summer Work Experience program is funded through ISETS and is designed to provide career-related, summer employment for secondary and post-secondary students, by providing wage subsidies to employers. Hire the workers you need while giving a student the summer work experience of a lifetime!
