The Youth Wellness Worker under the direction of the Executive Director, is responsible to work in collaboration with the Youth Wellness Centre providing support to at risk youth aged 16-24 years old around mental health and wellbeing and facilitating access to traditional teachings and ceremonies in a safe environment. The Indigenous Youth Wellness Worker will also ensure the effective delivery of the program with the primary focus being youth mental health, fostering a strong sense of well being and positive Indigenous identity.
SALARY: $50,930.00/ per annum
HRIC is a highly flexible organization offering additional compensation including 5 paid cultural days, 4 paid holidays beyond mandatory Employment Standards, paid shutdown over the winter holiday week, and health benefits. HRIC health benefits are offered to full time permanent employees, employees will be able to enroll upon the successful completion of their (3) three- month probationary period.
