Support Worker

Support Worker who helps Teachers, Facilitators, and Counsellors in managing young indigenous youth (12-17 years) and (18-25) years of age attending a live-in Treatment Centre for youth at risk or currenty misusing substance.  We take a trauma informed approach and focus on culture, identity, and healing!  Our support workers take an active part in this by helping youth to navigate programs at the Centre and in reaching personal goals, executive functioning and being a relative away from home.  We are looking for indigenous people with lived experience.  You can have a PSW, ECE, EA, Pre-Health Sciences, RPN, or other similar experiences.  WE provide relocation assistance and many other benefits such as 100% benefit coverage and OMERs pension plan.  We pride ourselves in healing focus.  We are located on-reserve at Chippewas of the Thames First Nation.  Shiftwork is required so, if you are interested strictly in nights, weekends or a certain block of time, we can accommodate you!  Reach out to our hr@nimkee.org today!
