Street Team/ Bingo Sales Intern – 35 hours per week

Street Team / Bingo Sales

Our Street Team’s focus is to create compelling entertainment and engaging imaging for Jukasa Radio 93.5FM at our scheduled live broadcast on-location events. You will hit the ground running in this fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Jukasa Radio hosts an on-air bingo event every Thursday at 7PM. The Bingo Sales portion of the position requires a skillset that includes an aptitude for handling cash, payment terminals and enjoying personal interaction with the public. Hours of work: 35 hours per week. Shifts may include weekends and evenings. Additional hours as required.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with writers and the programming director to develop social media posts to entice listeners to engage with the station at remote events and to play bingo
• Take direction and coaching to learn how to voice-commercials
• Learn and practice how to edit and mix audio for use on social platforms
• Learn and be able to impart our bingo program and pricing to customers
• Dub agency-produced creative material
• Other duties as assigned

Critical competencies:

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant social media posting experience
• Highly proficient with software and hardware platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube
• Experience with Canva, Adobe Audition, Photoshop, Microsoft office suite
• Exceptional team player with the ability to work independently
• Demonstrated ability to handle sales, cash, automated payment terminal and meet/greet the public with a positive attitude
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of the Six Nations Community

Preferred competencies:

• Experience in radio market/bingo sales
• Knowledge of social media, Adobe Creative Cloud suite, and AI experience
• Valid driver’s license is appreciated (not a requirement)
• Possess a mature, calm and professional manner
• Ability to take instruction with ease; demonstrate a willingness to learn
• Be a self-starter
