POSITION PURPOSE

The Registration Assistant is responsible for registering students, responding to inquiries and carrying out back-office functions such as processing transcripts, document imaging and filing.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service

  • Serve at the registration counter.
  • Register students in a timely and accurate manner. 
  • Provide timely and accurate response to faculty/staff inquiries and requests regarding classes and registration
  • Provide timely and accurate response to student inquiries related to course selection and registration. 

Registration Activities 

  • Assist in processing transcript requests.
  • Assist in processing letter requests.
  • Assist in processing change of program, letter of permission and syllabi requests.
  • Monitoring the waitlist for course registration.
  • Monitoring the pending registration forms.

Document Imaging

  • Assist in document imaging by scanning and importing documents.
  • Coordinate shredding of confidential documents.
  • Assist in filing and ordering office supplies.
  • Assist in Convocation activities.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Registrar or Senior Registration Officer.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

a) Education 

  • College diploma or equivalent

b) Experience

  • 1-2 years of administrative experience
  • Administrative experience in non-profit or educational institution

c) Skills and Abilities 

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and perform tasks in an accurate, efficient and timely manner
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to problem-solve and handle customer problems and complaints in a professional manner

Salary:

$37,500 - $39,000
