Situated in Norfolk County (Ontario’s South Coast), Simcoe is not far from Lake Erie and the 88 miles of shoreline that includes long stretches of sandy beach.

Position Qualifications
•MDRAO Certification or successful completion of an accredited post secondary reprocessing program preferred.
•Recent MDR experience, (hospital setting preferred)
•Able to apply CSA Standards, Best Practice Guidelines, and Accreditation Standards to practice
•Ability to exercise good judgment when dealing with competing demands and equipment failures
•Previous experience in preventive maintenance of existing equipment and the troubleshooting, reporting and scheduling of equipment repairs
•Demonstrated commitment to quality
•Excellent customer service skills
•Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
•Ability to work independently, as well as maintain cooperation with fellow team members within a fast-paced inter-professional healthcare setting
•Dedicated to providing safe patient care

Principal Position Duties and Responsibilities
•Set up, delivery, decontamination, high level disinfection, and/or sterilization, and routine testing of all equipment
•Document and report any failures of quality assurance measures including daily chemical and biological testing
•Communicate/coordinate workflow, within the team, and where applicable with vendors, manufacturing representatives
•Order and stock supplies
•Adherence to all health and safety policies, procedures and provision and the recognition and reporting of unsafe hazards and work practices
•Other duties as assigned
