Grand River Employment and Training Inc. (GRETI) is seeking an Administrative Assistant for our Ogwehoweh Skills and Trades Training Centre (OSTTC) team. The Administrative Assistant shall promote OSTTC’s goals and objectives, while maintaining a high level of professionalism. This position requires managing daily front-line operations, processing student applications, providing information and assistance to students and visitors.
As the Administrative Assistant you shall possess excellent communication, strong problem solving skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook). In addition to these outlined skills you must possess the following qualifications:

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
The Administrative Assistant will work under the direction and supervision of the Student Services Team Lead.
A PURPOSE:
In support of OSTTC’s mission to provide quality services, the Administrative Assistant shall continuously strive to enhance operations and streamline work processes. Under the direction of the OSTTC Student Services Team Lead, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for managing daily front-line operations, including accepting and processing student applications, providing information and assistance to students and visitors, acting as a switchboard to direct calls and inquiries, and coordinating appointments with admissions and student mentor. The Administrative Assistant will also prepare and distribute communications related to the application process, track application trends, and support the overall efficiency of the administrative functions.

The Administrative Assistant shall possess a Certificate or Diploma in Administration, Business Administration or a related discipline with a minimum of one (1) year experience in an office setting or public organization.
