Position: Recreation Supervisor                                 

Term: Maternity Leave, ending September 2023

Department: Community Centre                                        

Salary: $20.00 – $22.00/hour

Hours: 35 hours/week, 8:30a.m. – 4:30p.m., Monday – Friday, flexible to work evenings and weekends based on programming

Under the immediate supervision of the Economic Development/Community Centre Manager, the Recreation Supervisor will provide leadership and direction to all recreation/youth programming staff. This position is responsible for the overall administration of recreation/youth programming and services. This position will deliver programs and services to meet the needs of the community.  The Recreation Supervisor will utilize best practices in programming and customer service.



1.       Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Recreation & Leisure, Health Promotion, or related discipline, REQUIRED;

2.       Minimum of 2 – 4 years work experience in related capacity with similar responsibilities and supervisory experience;

3.       Workshop and/or other facilitation experience, experience working with children and youth in leadership capacity, an asset;

4.       Trained or willing to be trained on how to effectively facilitate leadership and recreation programming for children and youth.
