Salary Range:          Dependent on Grid Placement/Rating - $49,722 - $83,783  *Please contact KGS if you are registered with OCT and have more than 5 AQ courses

Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Kawenni:io/Gaweni:yo School Principal, the Elementary School Teacher will plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction with demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate. Further, they will adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs, and interests, and include cultural curriculum adaptations/language inclusion.

Education/Qualifications

• A current member of the Ontario College of Teachers OR
• Actively enrolled in a post-secondary program leading to registration with the Ontario College of Teachers

Knowledge

• Knowledge of the Rotinonhsion:ni/Hodinohso:ni culture and/or language.
• Working knowledge in operating a computer system with spreadsheets, word processing, database applications and Windows operations.

Skills/Abilities

• Demonstrated interpersonal skills through respect, sharing and caring.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to support the mission and vision of the school.
