Maintenance Department Student - Brantford Native Housing

Student will work with Maintenance Crew on various housing units throughout City of Brantford. They will be required to work 8 hours/day for a total of 40 hours/week. The hours of operation are 8:00am - 4:00pm each day (this includes a lunch break). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn/enhance basics of plumbing, carpentry, flooring installation, landscaping and design. Successful candidate will need to be proficient in verbal and written skills.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  - Renovating empty housing units including painting walls, painting doors and trim, installing flooring, installing trim work, etc.

- Cleaning exterior of housing units including picking up debris in yard, power washing exterior, changing light bulbs, washing windows on empty units, etc.

 - Cleaning interior of housing units after renovations including picking up debris, washing windows, washing walls, cleaning bathroom fixtures, washing countertops and cupboards, etc.
