We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and culturally grounded Lead Field Liaison Representative who will play an essential role in leading and supporting field liaison teams during archaeological and burial site investigations across the MCFN Treaty Territory. This role is ideal for someone who values mentorship, field leadership, and protecting First Nations cultural resources.

About the Role

The Lead Field Liaison Representative provides on-site leadership to Field Liaison Representatives (FLRs) during archaeological and burial site monitoring. This role ensures that fieldwork is conducted safely, accurately, and in a culturally respectful manner, while supporting communication between MCFN, consultants, and project proponents. The LFLR also mentors FLRs, supports issue resolution in the field, and helps uphold DOCA standards and MCFN values in all aspects of field operations.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and coordinate Field Liaison Representative (FLR) teams during field investigations

· Assign field locations in collaboration with the Field Supervisor based on experience

· Ensure culturally respectful, accurate, and policy-compliant fieldwork

· Mentor and support FLRs, including orientation and ongoing development

· Maintain accurate daily field notes and documentation

· Serve as the first point of contact for consultants and escalate issues as required

· Promote and monitor compliance with all health and safety requirements

Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for candidates who bring:

· College diploma in Archaeology, Social Studies, or a related field with 3+ years DOCA FLR experience OR High School Diploma with 5+ years DOCA FLR experience

· Successful completion of OAS or DOCA Archaeology Monitor Training

· Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

· Ability to resolve issues and problem-solve in field environments

· Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel
