The Native Seed Collector Assistant will assist with cleaning and storing seeds to continually build and maintain Kayanase’s native seed collection. Seed collecting will take place on-site and off-site, and requires site and material preparation, skills the Native Seed Collector Assistant will gain valuable knowledge and experience in. If you are a hands on learner, like a different day-to-day setting and have a passion for native plants restoration, please see application process below!

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Grade 10 with a willingness to actively learn
  • Knowledge in horticulture &/or nursery production

  1. PURPOSE

The Native Seed Collector Assistant (contract position) is to work as an important part of a growing team working in native seed and plant production and ecological restoration. Assisting with the seasonal seed collecting and production initiatives.  

This work will be in support of Kayanase’s goal of providing quality products and services. The Native Seed Collector Assistant shall continuously strive to improve operations, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively with other staff to provide quality services.
