Production Workers

Finnie Distributing (1997) Inc. is a leading pet food ingredient processor. Our facility workers must comply with our quality, food safety and health and safety requirements. In our plant employees are required to work in a team environment. We are passionate about our team and are always looking for general labourers who would enjoy working in pet food production.

Candidates would have to have the physical ability to lift 50 lbs or more on a consistent basis, work multiple shifts (afternoons/nights/weekends), work 10 hour shifts and work in a non-regulated temperature environment.

The salary is $21.00/hr (includes shift premium) for 44 hours per week with overtime available (paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate after 44 hours).

Job duties include (but not limited to) the following:

· Separation, sorting and preparation of fresh or frozen ingredients for initial processing and grinding

· Pumping of emulsified product into molds (for freezing) or tote containers

· Removal of frozen products from frozen molds

· Use of forklift to place pallets of product in freezers or move totes of finished products

· Label and scan both ingredients and finished products as required

· Cleaning of totes or various containers

· Cleaning of the processing area and equipment

· Removal of waste items as necessary

· Complete any internal training as required
