Hours: 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30a.m. to 2:30p.m.

JOB SUMMARY:  

Oneida Nation of the Thames is a First Nation Settlement located near the City of London, Ontario. Standing Stone School offers FDK through Grade 6 programming for approximately 190 students.

The Food Preparation Worker/Assistant Cook will work closely with the established team and play an important role in preparing and serving healthy meals, promoting nutrition education, maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen environment, and supporting student success through access to nutritious food. This position also contributes to program planning, inventory management, participation tracking, community engagement, and family involvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be a team player who is organized, dependable, and committed to creating a positive food service experience that supports student health, attendance, learning, and overall well-being.

EDUCATION:

1. Post-Secondary Diploma in Food Services is considered an asset.
2. Valid Safe Food Handling certification is required.
3. Current First Aid/CPR certification is required.

EXPERIENCE:

1. At least one (1) year of work experience in food services.
