Grand River Employment and Training Inc. (GRETI) is seeking a reliable and organized individual who has a passion for financials. The Finance Clerk is responsible for efficient clerical services to ensure accurate financial operations within GRETI.

As the Finance Clerk you will possess skills in administrative and clerical functions and streamline effective, efficient and accurate financial reporting. In addition to these skills, you must possess the following:

Qualifications:

  • College Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline with a desire to continue education/training in accounting or business OR
  • High School Diploma & current enrolment in accounting or business administration
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in finance or administration

  1. PURPOSE

In support of GREAT/GRETI’s goal of providing quality services, the Finance Clerk shall continuously strive to improve operations and streamline work processes. The Finance Clerk is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate financial and administrative operations. The Finance Clerk must comply with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and GREAT/GRETI’s financial and personnel policy and procedures.

  1. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • College Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline with a desire to continue education/training in accounting or business OR
  • High School Diploma & current enrolment in accounting or business administration
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in finance or administration
  • Knowledge, understanding & use of ACCPAC & other accounting software
  • Strong oral & written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Self-directed & able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Good analytical, problem-solving skills
  • Ability to plan & organize a wide variety of tasks with minimal supervision
  • Clear criminal records check
  • Be able to work overtime to meet deadlines
