JOB PURPOSE
The Employment Counsellor is responsible for providing comprehensive employment counselling, career guidance, and work-readiness support to Indigenous learners and community clients accessing the Integrated Employment Service (IES) at Six Nations Polytechnic (SNP). The role supports the strategic objectives of the IES in aligning employment services with academic programs, workforce readiness, and community development initiatives.
The Employment Counsellor operates under the guidance of the Unit Manager, Centre for Teaching & Learning, and is expected to deliver culturally responsive, evidence-based, and client-focused services that reflect Hodinǫshǫ:nih/Rotinonhson:ni values of Ga’nigohi:yo/Kanikoriio (Respect and the Good Mind).
