Haldimand-Norfolk REACH is a multi-service agency, providing Child & Youth Mental Health Services, Autism & Behaviour Services, Developmental Services, Youth Services, Adult Counselling Services, and several Early Learning Intervention & Care services including EarlyON Child & Family Centres and the Community Action Program for Children.
H-N REACH serves as the Lead Agency for Haldimand Norfolk Children’s Mental Health Services, Coordinated Service Planning and the Student Nutrition Program in the Hamilton/Niagara Region. Through our Contact Unit, the agency serves as the single point of access for a variety of children’s services.
H-N REACH is recognized as a local leader in community education, advocacy, inter-sector collaboration and Community Service Planning.
Early Learning & Care Unit- New Position
EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR Ref. #2026-43
Part-time, Permanent, Hourly
-School-Age Program (program runs September to June)
-Delhi: St Frances Cabrini location
-Minimum of 22 hours per week during the school year, with the potential for additional hours based on
program needs
-Shifts include planning and administrative time & afternoons 2:00pm-6:00pm, Monday – Friday
Wage Rate: Step 1 - $26.38 - Step 2 - $26.38 - Step 3 - $27.63
*(Rates include the Wage Subsidy, Wage Enhancement, and Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care grants
as per current funder guidelines, for eligible individuals).

The licensed before and after school program offers care and supervision to children in Junior Kindergarten (JK)
and up to 12 years of age. The program offers a variety of engaging experiences based on children’s interest,
including active indoor and outdoor play, creative opportunities, social experiences, nutritious snacks and child
led play. Hours of operation are from 7:00 am until the start of school then from the end of school to 6:00 pm.
Responsibilities:
To develop and deliver programing with children guided by their interests, in play-based learning environments at
Before & After-School Programs.
Qualifications:
• Early Childhood Education Diploma (registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators in good
standing)
• Experience leading children’s activities
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• A minimum of one year experience preferred
• Current certification in First Aid/CPR-C
• Verification of the required immunizations/immunity, as required by the local Medical Officer of Health
• Vulnerable Sector Record Check (includes Criminal Record & Judicial Matters Check) and Children’s Aid
Society Declaration/Release
• Possession of a valid driver’s licence, $2 million vehicle liability insurance, clear Driver Abstract and use
of a vehicle.
