JOB SUMMARY: The Diabetic Footcare RPN reports to and works under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Lead Supervisor, Primary Care Services, Six Nations of the Grand River Elected Council.
The purpose of the Diabetic Foot Care RPN position is to provide safe and quality foot care services to diabetic or high-risk diabetic clients within the scope of practice of a Registered Practical Nurse of the College of Nurses of Ontario. Daily functions are in accordance with guidelines as outlined by the Diabetes Wellness Program, Six Nations Department of Well-Being and Six Nations of the Grand River Elected Council.
To improve access to foot care services, self-management, education and prevention services for people living with diabetes or at high risk of developing diabetes.
Reinforce the values and philosophy of the Diabetes Wellness Program in all aspects of the position upon initial contact with the clients.
