JOB TITLE: Crew Member

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Summer Student Crew Member assists the Foreman and crew with lawn maintenance and daily field operations. This role supports grass cutting, trimming, property clean-up, equipment care, and truck/trailer organization while learning proper lawn care standards and safe work practices.

Responsibilities are laid out below but include, and are not limited to, helping maintain job quality, keeping equipment clean and ready, assisting with site clean-up, and ensuring tools, fuel, and supplies are organized for efficient daily operations. The student is expected to follow instructions, work safely, stay productive, and contribute to a clean, organized, and professional crew environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Daily Responsibilities

• Loading up equipment onto the trailer and/or work truck
• Ensure the equipment is working properly before and after each job
• Any lawn care activities as indicated in the training plan
• Assist the Foreman with each and every job they perform
• Other duties as assigned

Weekly Responsibilities

• Clean and organize truck and trailer (remove garbage, sweep out, tools in place)
• Clean grass buildup off mower decks and wipe down equipment
• Check trimmer heads, blower intake, and report any damage to foreman
• Check and top up mower oil levels if applicable
• Check supplies and report low items to Foreman
• Help foreman Monday morning to confirm route and load any extra tools needed
• Any other duties as assigned
