“Community Youth Coordinator”

Social Services | Full-Time, Permanent

We are seeking a passionate, organized, and community-driven Community Youth Coordinator who will play an essential role in supporting youth programming, Youth Council initiatives, and community engagement activities. This position is ideal for someone who is motivated by meaningful work and committed to empowering youth and strengthening community connections.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

· Coordinate Youth Council activities, including meetings, registration, scheduling, and communications

· Prepare agendas, record meeting minutes, and maintain organized records and correspondence

· Arrange travel, logistics, and event coordination for Youth Council members and programming

· Track Youth Council action items, communications, and reporting requirements

· Provide administrative and financial support, including expense tracking and budget monitoring

· Support funding applications and ensure compliance with financial procedures

· Plan and deliver youth programs, camps, cultural activities, and community events

· Act as the primary point of contact for youth programs and community outreach efforts

· Collaborate with internal teams and leadership to support youth engagement initiatives and reporting

 

Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for candidates who bring:

· College diploma in Youth Services, Recreation, Counselling, Administration, or related field, OR equivalent experience working with youth or community programming

· Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

· Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work under pressure

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

· Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion

Assets:

· Experience in event planning, youth programming, or community engagement
