JOB SUMMARY: The Children’s Mental Health Worker (herein referred to as the “Worker”) is to provide a range of direct intervention or treatment services delivered as needed to Aboriginal children and youth attending post-secondary schools in Brant, Haldimand, and Norfolk counties with identified mental health and/or addictions difficulties that affect their overall functioning and success. The Worker will also collaborate with school administration, staff, and families of students to help resolve issues that may impact student learning. The worker will advocate for and assist in the coordination of responsive culturally rooted extended care plans by working cooperatively with community mental health professionals dedicated to providing the highest standard of service.
