JOB SUMMARY:
The Child and Youth Wellness Worker plays a key role in creating a safe, supportive, and culturally grounded environment for children and youth at the Oneida Family Healing Lodge (OFHL) and for those who are seeking support services. This position is responsible for the timely and effective delivery of services such as advocacy, counselling, programming, outreach, and referrals.
The role promotes the overall well-being of children and youth by developing safety plans, creating and delivering programming, and providing one-on-one counselling and support to individuals impacted by violence.
This position also provides direct support to children and youth residing at the OFHL and those participating in community-based programs. Responsibilities include facilitating family violence education, group activities, and individualized care plans that address the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of each child and youth.
The Oneida Family Healing Lodge is a service facility operating 24-7 and staff are required to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, statutory holidays, and shift rotation.
