Job Title: Retail Sales Associate — Summer Student

Wage: $17.20/hr

Hours: 30hrs/week — flexible daytime and evening shifts — weekdays and weekends

Closing Date: June 11th, 2025

Overview:

As a retail sales associate at ILA Sports you will work as a team with a variety of part-time and full-time employees. Most times you will be the first person to greet customers as they enter the store and ensure they feel welcome and at ease. You will need to communicate effectively with children, their parents, your co-workers and management in order for the work environment to remain positive. A basic understanding of sports apparel and equipment is definitely an asset in this position, specifically lacrosse, baseball and hockey. Your duties will vary in this position but a positive, happy, welcoming personality will help you succeed as an overall retail sales associate.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable of items for sale within the store
• Ability to communicate thoroughly with co-workers to ensure customers needs are met
• Connecting with customers by ensuring a friendly atmosphere and attentiveness Assisting co-workers with daily cleaning of store
• Being a responsible co-worker; assisting with tasks, communicating when needed, asking for assistance if needed

Qualifications:

• Ability to read directions thoroughly
•  Basic comprehension of money; adding, subtracting, percentages
•  Great communication skills
•  Flexible availability- need for some evening/weekend shifts
•  Motivation to ensure customer satisfaction
• Secondary-School Student minimum
